A welcome letter from the host…
Greetings friends…
We’ve all got to follow best practices for staying safe and taking care of each other during the pandemic. This online gathering is about best practices for your inner life.
How can you rest in your own presence and non-reactivity? How can you open in compassion and let your heart’s intelligence guide your actions? How can you stay open to your experience – not grabbing onto your emotion but not bypassing it either? How can your struggles deepen your practice and bring forward new capacities?
This Being & Doing gathering will give you a chance to hear from some extraordinary, open-hearted, generous mentors. The teachers will all be live – guiding practices, taking questions and joining with you in a supportive field of collective presence. Use this opportunity to help you stay open and free inside of yourself, to nourish your resilience, and to connect with a powerful community of like-minded souls.
Jeff Charno, Being & Doing Host

ADDISON, Texas — From small-town Oklahoma native to internationally acclaimed actor and musician, Wes Studi forever changed a stereotype with his unforgettable performances in Dances with Wolves, The Last of the Mohicans, Heat and Avatar.
Now, he’s working on another mission.
Yesterday, the Cherokee citizen and legendary film star released a public service announcement (PSA) to raise awareness of the serious effects of COVID-19 in Indian Country and request widespread support for Partnership With Native Americans (PWNA) to ensure Native Americans are not left behind during the pandemic.
What sparked the PSA is a series of vital health issues happening in the wake of COVID-19, even with many stay-at-home orders in place. The risk of contracting the virus is higher among Native Americans due to overcrowded housing and high rates of diabetes, kidney disease and asthma. And despite more than 7,100 confirmed cases of COVID-19 within the Navajo Nation and other tribal communities, federal aid has been slow to arrive.
In his new PSA, the Oscar winner reminds the public of the need for immediate attention and charitable donations to PWNA, which has secured tribal clearances and follows CDC and tribal guidelines to continue delivering critical items, such as food, water, sanitizer and personal protective equipment (PPE).
For more information on the PSA, and to learn how to donate, visit NativePartnership.org/
“Every day, remote reservation communities face shortages of food, water and healthcare, and COVID-19 has magnified that reality,” said Joshua Arce, PWNA president and CEO. “Donations are critical now as we bring relief to under-resourced communities.”
Studi notes PWNA is a nonprofit he trusts. In 2019, they collaborated in a five-part Realities Video Series with Wes Studi that aimed to give an accurate portrayal of reservation life and dispels long-held myths that continue to impact Native communities.

“Waking Up Fabulous: Taking Refuge in The Time of Corona” – A Half-Day LGBTQIA+ Community Retreat
In the midst of this global pandemic, taking refuge in the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha has never felt more important for our community and this world. As LGBTQIA+ people, in these challenging and difficult times, we recollect the power of community to know that we are not alone; that together we can begin the healing of centuries of oppression and trauma within a deep knowing of our interconnectedness and interdependence. We learn to trust the unfolding of this life and act for the benefit of all beings.
This virtual retreat is an opportunity to come together and care for ourselves: to remember who we really are and to reconnect with our innate goodness. We will explore ways of sustaining a clear and open mind, a kind heart, and a strong body. And we will engage with the ancient teachings and practices offered by the Buddha that cultivate wisdom, kindness, compassion, joy, equanimity, and skillful actions.
This virtual retreat is for all those who identify as LGBTQIA+. The program will include guided awareness and heart practices, Dharma talks, small and large group sharing, and gentle yoga.
This Virtual Retreat will be conducted on Zoom from 12:30pm – 4:30pm EST on Saturday, May 23. The virtual retreat link will be emailed to participants within twenty-four hours of your registration. Registration for this live webinar closes at 11:30am EST on May 23.
In keeping with the tradition of offering these teachings by dana, there are no fees associated with this retreat, it is by donation only. We invite you to consider making a tax-deductible contribution during the registration process. Suggested donation levels are listed, but if you would like to contribute more, please select the Participant option and type in your desired donation amount. We appreciate your support.

INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN LOVE THE MIRACLE~ CRYSTAL CLEAR VISION 2020
mir·a·cle | \ ˈmir-i-kəl \
Definition of miracle
1
: an extraordinary event manifesting divine intervention in human affairs
the healing miracles described in the Gospels
2
: an extremely outstanding or unusual event, thing, or accomplishment
The bridge is a miracle of engineering.
3
Christian Science : a divinely natural phenomenon experienced humanly as the fulfillment of spiritual law
This year is International Children Love The Miracle 2020. Crystal Clear Vision.
A miracle manifests or comes through people, through each other. It is an answer to a prayer, a wish, a hope, a need, and it affects us and everyone connected to us positively.
Miracles can be small, like a seed growing into our favorite food, or big like world peace.
This year we will be exploring miracles, and how we can each be someone else’s miracle.
What do miracles look like? What do miracles sound like? What do miracles do?
Let’s begin this year by pondering these concepts.
MIRACULOUS EMBODIMENT EXERCISES TO TRY!
-when we open to divine powerful energy made of light and love, positivity, goodness, care, respect, we open to the creative field that created and creates everything.
How can you explore the miraculous field?
- Sit quietly, close your eyes, breath in deeply on 3, hold for 3 release for 3. Clear your mind, and then ask the question in your heart. What do miracles look like? In your imagination, imagine the miracles you can be a part of. This can be something you do everyday, or when you feel inspired, or when you feel really uninspired. That is usually the best time to sit quietly and ask yourself about the field of the miraculous, ;when you feel out of sorts. It can help bring us back into a good place. And we can hear our inner voice.
- Create a picture: Paint, draw, color your vision of the miraculous field or of a miracle you see in your minds eye, or in your heart. The famous poet RUMI says “Your heart knows the way, Run in that direction.” we here at ICM agree.
- Write a creative piece about the field of the miraculous. Describe it for your readers, imagine through your words, and honor them as they get put down on the page.
- Make music out of the miraculous field. SIng, play an instrument, create your own song of the miraculous. What could miracles sound like? What can they say in a song?
- Dance or Movement in the miraculous field. How does it feel to be a miracle? How do we let the miraculous energy flow through our bodies? What beautiful miraculous energy can we send out into the world to uplift our family and earth?
- FREE Form- ICM invites you to get creative with the exploration of the field of the miraculous. Fill your heart with light, or a star and shine brightly and create!
NOW. BE OPEN TO BE AN INSTRUMENT FOR THE MIRACULOUS!!!!

There is a new body of work that is nudging you from the inside
ready to come to life!
This is the powerful creative pressure that can bring you to your knees…and believe it or not this is actually a good thing. When you surrender the mental loop of the WHAT and HOW and shift into A Prayer for Support and Guidance – your creative process will never be the same.
- Strengthen your relationship with the Divine and your Creative Spirit, so you can create the pathway to ease-fully bring forward your Sacred Body of Work.
- Address wounds and old patterns that surface as you step into your power, so you can continue expanding into your authentic self.
- Creatively contribute to the world during this transformative time, so you’re finally able to live your vision of making the world a better place through your creative work.
- Incorporate spiritual and creative practices into your daily routine, to strengthen your connection to your power, let go of patterns that no longer serve you and access creative freedom, play and your next level of creativity.
- And so much more.
This is why my friend Alexis Cohen, visionary artist, creativity mentor, and shamanic practitioner has created Paint, Pray, Flow. It’s a complimentary interview series, starting June 1st, 2020.
It brings together more than 25 artists, healers, teachers and visionaries, including me! We will share our creative wisdom, tools and hands-on-techniques to connect to Divine Love, Peace and Prosperity.

Message from Omyene Grandmother Bernadette Rebienot, Owansango:
The period we are going through, like every ordeal that life brings us to endure, invites us to question our way of living and to see things in a new light. What message is hidden behind everything that happens to us?
Today, most of the world’s population is confined and Nature can reclaim her rights. In this regard, a break in human activity is more than welcome. Pollution is declining, animal species are repopulating. The whole world is at rest. What could be more natural after so many years of excess?
The real question to ask ourselves is how did we get here, reaching such a level of imbalance without any respect for natural laws, without harmony or restraint? Never in human history have we reached such levels.
We were all surprised by this crisis, generating doubt among some, acceptance among others. Everyone analyzes it in their own way. Can’t we see in it a form of natural justice which comes to impose itself and enlighten us on our condition?
This virus affects the entire population, no one is spared. Isn’t this a sign that nothing separates us, whatever our origin or our social rank? It is up to us to realize that the future of the human being is written together. We all come from diverse communities, with values and traditions that define our reality and determine where we recognize ourselves as an individual, but this richness must be lived with an opening towards our neighbor, whoever it may be.
Again, justice is expressed. It is social but also spiritual, because it shatters the illusion of separation in which we live. It shows us that humanity is One being and its survival depends on this achievement.
It is precisely this call that we, the Grandmothers of the whole world, must heed. If we are among those most at risk, it may be because we have a crucial role to play. It is we who transmit knowledge to new generations, remembering where we come from and who we are.
It’s time to get back to basics. Through prayer and the invocation of our ancestors, it is up to us to hear this global warning properly, and to share the message with as many people as possible.
Human beings are endowed with intelligence but, despite their desire to dominate nature, the latter will always triumph.
Let us remember that the central element is Life. It’s up to us to keep the flame alive.
Grandmother Bernadette

Indigi-Aid, a live-stream event benefiting indigenous communities as a response to the Covid-19 crisis, will take place Thursday, June 11th from 5 to 9 pm eastern time. Artists and musicians from diverse indigenous and other communities around the United States will offer songs, dance, and storytelling.
